About us

NeuroOrchestra is a collective of specialists in neuroscience, registered clinical counsellors in Canada, brain training coaches, and computer science experts. We are proud to serve you in two main areas: Clinical counselling/psychotherapy and cognitive brain skill enhancement, using tools such as computers, virtual reality, neurofeedback, biofeedback, and pen-and-paper exercises to improve and elevate your quality of life.

Mahtab is a neuroscientist and Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), and holds a Board Certification in Neurofeedback (BCN-L) from the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA). She specializes in neurofeedback, quantitative EEG (qEEG) brain mapping, neurotherapy, and ERP. Her work focuses on the assessment and interpretation of brain function using advanced EEG-based methods, and translating these findings into individualized, evidence-based treatment protocols. Mahtab completed her Ph.D. in Neuroscience and MSc in Clinical Psychology at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She has also worked as a visiting scientist at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2023. She founded the Cognitive Assessment and Rehabilitation Lab at the Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Research Center, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, where she led clinical and research initiatives in cognitive and brain-based interventions. Her clinical approach integrates neuroscience-informed psychotherapy with neurofeedback and qEEG-guided neurotherapy to support individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and cognitive challenges. She is particularly interested in identifying neurophysiological patterns and developing personalized interventions to optimize brain function and overall well-being.

Ahmad received a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience from Kerman University of Medical Science, and an MSc degree in speech-language pathology from Tehran University. Also, he got a Postdoctoral fellowship in the neuroscience field at the University of British Columbia, in 2023.Ahmad started her career as a speech therapist at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Ibn Sina Psychiatric Hospital in 2007. His main responsibilities were screening, evaluating, and treating speech and language deficits in both adolescents and children. Besides that, Ahmad Established group therapy with the help of my colleagues, for adults who stutter (AWS) in the hospital for the first time. Performed Neurotherapy (neurofeedback) for developmentally-impaired clients (like Asperger and ADHD syndromes). Also, he is an expert in neurotherapy and QEEG interpretation.
